Being the awesomesauce daughter that I am, I have been on the flipping ball for Mother’s Day this year.
Mom’s Birthday and Mother’s Day are within a month of each other so Jer and I decided to go in on one big combined present. This year she will be the lucky recipient of an iPod Touch! (don’t worry she already knew she was getting one)
It’s probably a pretty...

Breakfast of Champions:
Question: When was the last time you bought something from dELiAs?
Correct answer should be: The week before my seventh grade dance.
Correct answer actually is: Today at work.
Upon first glance my mouth salivated for three pounds of watermelon (my favorite non-chocolate-related food) and I realized this precious tank needed to be in my beach bag come summertime.
Thank you cheesy tween...
Nicest thing to happen to me in a very long while!
An intern of mine emailed me about a month ago asking for a personal recommendation in her quest to grad school. Full knowing what a total pain in the butt rec letters are, I happily accepted because she truthfully was that great. What I did absolutely not expect was to receive one of the most thoughtful gifts anyone has ever gotten little old...
In which I realize I'm the adult
Dad: Are you just getting out of work? I thought you were leaving early because of Good Friday.
Me: Yeah half day, I got out at noon but I just got back from the gym. I had my first interval training today.
Dad: So you ran?
Me: Well yeah, you go fast and then slow and then fast and then slow.
Dad: Hm. Like on a treadmill?
Me: Yes on a treadmill.
Dad: Sounds boring.
Dad: I'm eating a box of Milk Duds waiting for Friday Night Lights to start.
Dad: Do you ever try and see if you can suck all the chocolate off before you bite into the caramel?

I saw on Facebook that two of my friends from back home signed up for this (Hi Em and Jess!) and I was feeling all sorts of motivated and then this happend:
Um, I accidentally signed up for a Half Marathon. (Whaaaa?) I am currently having a panic attack/nervous breakdown. The most I’ve ever run is six miles and I am probably going to need CPR at some point along these 13.1.
Truth be...
Things today:
I am sad that I am not in Boston for Marathon Monday
Fun fact: pretty much everyone gets Marathon Monday off in Beantown for ‘Patriot’s Day’
I will run the Boston Marathon one day [if I put it on the blog I have to stick to it - right?]
Going to Border’s to buy this book after work (all hail Kara Goucher)
Then going for a long run

Prophetic Sunday realizations:
Blogging from your iPhone after three too many margaritas will always result in way more glamor shots than necessary.

Whole Foods Curry Chicken Salad
No work tomorrow!
Confession Tuesday
I occasionally (read: at least twice a week) go to Whole Foods, fill a bag with with chocolate covered almonds, walk around the store and eat said almonds, toss the bag in a trash by the salad bar, and exit. I justify this as not stealing because I don’t actually leave the store with anything and the calories don’t count because I eat standing up.
Need to get anything off your chest?
I have been putting off answering this question:
I have been 100% sucking at bootcamp. Sucking, as in the first two weeks I only went a few two times. The difference between waking up at 5:30 and 6:30 might as well be six hours. But this last week I got my act together and went twice! [Monday was raining … if you think I’m getting up at 5:30, in the pitch black to get yelled at by a...
A blog that I find myself stumbling upon whenever I’m in need of a healthy food pick me up is Choosing Raw. The author is a vegan nutritionist who seems to have a lot of fun with cooking and makes foods I would never dream of trying look pretty appealing!
I’ve been seriously thinking about doing a raw detox for quite awhile now and this recipe for Banana Soft Serve makes me think...
